At Double Action Defense and Diamond Defense we believe every eligible law abiding citizen of the United States should exercise their right to carry. At the core of responsible firearm ownership is commitment to safety. This is why we are proud to offer the 1st step in securing your permit, of educational safety training.
The State of Michigan allows for the issuance of concealed carry permits for resident applicants. This unique state endorsed program requires only 8 hours of safety training. Double Action Defense is committed to providing this training to all users at a minimum charge.
Because of reciprocity laws between states the Michigan concealed carry permit is currently recognized in most states. This mean that even if you are not a Michigan resident, if you fulfill the requirements to own and carry (concealed) a firearm according to Michigan state law, you can legally carry (concealed) your firearm in any of the other 28 states recognizing the Michigan permit.

Double Action Defense and Diamond Defense offers Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Classes available to the public. We encourage anyone who is interested in obtaining a CPL, or even learning some good information about home defense, to attend this class. It’s a VERY valuable learning experience. Even if you do not plan to carry a concealed pistol, having a CPL also makes it easier to purchase a handgun since you are not required to obtain a purchase permit prior to purchasing. In our class on students will learn the different types of firearms, how they function, and the different types of ammunition available. In our CPL Class called “Home Safety students will learn how to handle firearms safely in the home, and the information you need to carry a concealed pistol.

Class must be attended to receive a certificate for first time CPL.
Only the CPL class is needed for renewal of an existing CPL. The cost of the CPL class only is $100.00
